“I’ve been on the road longer than asphalt.”
Myles Weeks is a south Louisiana born and raised bassist/songwriter residing in New Orleans. His music mixes the stories, sights, and sounds gained not only through his upbringing, but from years of extensive touring as a sideman. He combines his lyrics with stellar, classically infused bowing and rootsy bass playing for a unique musical experience worthy of a listen.
Myles Weeks maintains an active touring and recording schedule. He is currently a member of the James Hunter Six (Daptones Records), and continues a long time musical alliance with New Orleans songwriter, Andrew Duhon.
When he isn’t making music, he enjoys spending time on the bayous and in the marsh lands of south Louisiana. In continuing his childhood and life long love affair with fishing and south Louisiana’s wetlands, he can regularly be found wetting a line out by Campo’s Marina on Lake Borgne. (yeah you rite)
